I wish I May, I Wish I Might...

Psalms 37:4 “Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

Have you ever been in the store and see people with one of “Those” kids? You know the one screaming in the candy isle, and you can hear them all the way up front at the cashier! The first thing we say is, “If that was my kid, I would Blah, Blah, Blah.”

We look at that kid like it’s an alien or something! Guess what, we have all been that screaming kid when we don’t get our way. So many times we have our own agenda’s and plans and when they don’t go our way, we kick and scream like a spoiled brat!

Psalms 37:4 says that the Lord will give us the desires of our heart! Now remember what our devotion was about last week? Creating positives ripples, right… Every positive step you take will bring your desires more in line with His desires for you. So what does this scripture mean? Think of the word “desire” as a noun… a thing.

So if you delight yourself in the Lord He will give you New desires! All of a sudden your heart will desire things more in line with what God has planned for your life! The sooner you realize God is holding a big bag of brand New desires for you, the less time you will spend dwelling on what you can’t have!

Take some time to go back to the beginning of our devotions together and try to read one every night for the next week… you will realize that there is a reoccurring theme… Jesus loves you and He sees you as a finished picture, we are just living through the brush strokes of a masterpiece!

I love you all… remember, No One Can Take Your Dreams Away From You but YOU!
