MINE!!!

2 Timothy 3:2-4 "People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—

SO, If I were to ask you, what would you do if you won 50 million dollars, what would be your answer? You'd probably say things like most of us do... Get a nice house, nice car, take care of my family, travel, etc. I definitely understand that because society today tells us that you're basically a nobody unless you have all those things or reach a certain economic status.

Why do you think most athletes dream about making it to the pro level? Is it so they can have the things listed above? Not many will say that they want to make it to the pro's so they will have the money to open a community center or build homeless shelters, or to become the best humanitarian ever... Listen, we all dream of living a life where money is no object, where we could buy whatever, go where ever, and do whatever we want.

Now let me push you to think a little differently... Instead of living our lives like the scripture referenced above, consider how your actions will effect others. Everything we do causes a ripple effect whether we want it to or not. So how about we make a deal... Let's try to create positive ripples. Instead of being selfish everyday of our lives and thinking about ourselves first, do at least one positive thing a day for someone and expect nothing in return, not even a thank you. (Please reach out to me and let me know what kind of ripples you cause) If you see a need how about you be the one to attend to that need and not wait on the next person to do it.... put yourself in the next persons shoes and do something for them that you wish someone would do for you.

Lets start a positive Christ like revolution... a ripple that will battle against all of the selfishness we see on a daily basis. You do this and I promise you that the rest of the things you dream about having will come to you.... Psalms 37 says that the Lord will give you the desires of your heart. Think about that this week and next and we will discuss that next Wednesday.

Remember, "No One Can Take Your Dream Away from You but You!"

Love you.... Poppy Todd
